You’ll first undergo an initial consultation with Dr. Azam so that she can evaluate your situation and understand your specific goals. Our team will also answer any questions or concerns that you might have before starting on your treatment. We will provide you with specific instructions on how to prepare for the laser hair reduction process, which should include:
No plucking or waxing for several weeks
Shave the hair above the skin the night before your appointment
Avoid exposure to sunlight (including tanning beds or self-tanners) for two days before treatment
Don’t use retinoids for multiple days before your appointment to minimize irritation
During your procedure, you’ll sit or lie down depending on the area being treated, and Dr. Azam will apply a cool gel to protect your skin while reducing the chance of redness or discomfort.
