Is BBL HEROic the right treatment for me?

During your personal consultation, our team will assess your skin to determine if BBL HEROicis right for you. Complete the form below or contact us at [tel] today to book a consultation.

BBL HEROic is the most advanced pulsed light technology available today. While BBL HEROic shares the same core technology with its predecessors—BBL® and BBL® HERO™—HEROic introduces revolutionary technological advancements, including Intelligent Control™ (IC™) software and the Skin Positioning System™ (SPS™). These innovations facilitate faster, more effective treatments, enhanced patient comfort, and exceptional results for every patient.

During a BBL HEROic treatment, a clear gel is applied over the treatment areas to help your skin absorb light energy. As the treatment begins, you should feel minimal to no discomfort as your provider gently glides the handpiece over the skin. Pulsed light improves your skin in two ways. Initially, it targets highly vascular and pigmented areas like visible blood vessels or sunspots, breaking them down for absorption by the body. Additionally, the generated heat acts within the collagen-rich areas, triggering the body's healing response and resulting in a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and a more youthful appearance.

A treatment with BBL HEROic is generally well-tolerated by most patients. It is commonly described as feeling like a quick snap on the skin, with the sensation fading swiftly as the handheld device pulses over the skin. Thanks to BBL HEROic’s CoolComfort™ technology, which cools the epidermis during the procedure, topical anesthesia is not necessary. After the treatment, it is normal for the skin to feel warm for about 30 to 60 minutes.

There is minimal-to-no downtime following treatment with BBL HEROic. Patients can typically resume normal activities immediately. Key points to remember, include: Skin sensitivity: Your skin may feel sensitive, like a mild sunburn, but this typically subsides within 48 hours. Healing process: You might notice temporary darkening of pigmented areas, along with some redness and swelling. These are part of the natural healing process where damaged cells are replaced by new ones, repairing your skin. Post-treatment care: Follow your provider's advice, avoid direct sun exposure, and wear broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen to protect the skin, especially during the first 72 hours post-treatment. Depending on the skin's pre-existing condition, mild discomfort, dryness, or minor crusting may occur. Skincare and makeup: You can typically resume using skincare products and makeup within 1-2 days post-treatment.

BBL HEROic can be performed anywhere on the face or body.

A week or two after a BBL HEROic treatment, your skin will appear more even, youthful, glowing, and smooth. Visible results can be seen in just 1 to 2 treatments, while optimal results are generally seen after completing a series of treatments spaced a few weeks apart. Your skin will continue to improve in the weeks and months following your BBL HEROic sessions.

Your provider will work with you to create a customized treatment plan that addresses your specific skin revitalization needs. Typically, a series of three treatments, spaced approximately three weeks apart, is recommended. Once you have reached your goals, periodic maintenance treatments will help keep your skin healthy and glowing.

A BBL HEROic treatment typically takes 20-30 minutes, depending on the size and areas being treated.

BBL HEROic is easily combined with other Sciton modalities, such as HALO® and MOXI™, for enhanced results and less downtime. It may also be combined with other minimally invasive procedures, such as injectable fillers or BOTOX®. During your consultation, your provider will create a plan to address your skin's unique needs.

MOXI LASER

What is MOXI Laser?

MOXI is a gentle, non-ablative fractional laser designed to improve skin tone, texture, and overall appearance with minimal downtime. It is ideal for maintaining youthful skin and treating early signs of aging, sun damage, and pigmentation.

Yes. MOXI is safe for most skin tones and can be performed year-round, making it an excellent option for patients seeking preventative or maintenance treatments.

Downtime is minimal. Patients typically experience redness and a sandpaper-like texture for 2–5 days before revealing brighter, smoother skin.

While improvement is visible after one session, a series of 3–4 treatments is often recommended for optimal results.

HALO TRIBRID

What is HALO Laser (Hybrid Fractional Laser)?

HALO is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser that combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths in a single treatment. This allows for powerful skin resurfacing with less downtime than traditional ablative lasers.

Most patients experience redness, swelling, and peeling for 3–7 days. Visible improvements continue to develop for weeks as collagen production increases.

Many patients achieve significant results with just one treatment per year, though additional sessions may be recommended depending on skin concerns.

A topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to ensure comfort. Patients typically describe the sensation as warm or prickly but very tolerable.

LASER NANOPEEL

What is a Laser NanoPeel?

NanoPeel is a light laser resurfacing treatment that removes the outermost layer of damaged skin to improve tone and texture while stimulating fresh skin renewal.

Recovery is typically quick, with redness lasting 1–3 days and mild flaking as new skin emerges.

Skin appears brighter and smoother within days, with continued improvement over the following week.

Treatments can be repeated every few months as part of a regular skin maintenance plan.

LASER MICROPEEL

What is a Laser MicroPeel?

MicroPeel is a more intensive laser resurfacing treatment than NanoPeel. It removes a slightly deeper layer of skin to address more noticeable signs of aging and sun damage.

Patients typically experience redness, swelling, and peeling for 3–5 days. Healing time varies depending on treatment depth.

Yes. Many patients see significant improvement after a single session, though additional treatments may enhance results.

Your provider will evaluate your skin to determine suitability. It is most commonly recommended for lighter skin tones or carefully selected candidates.

Laser Hair Removal

What should I avoid before my appointment?

Avoid plucking, waxing, or threading for four weeks prior. Skip tanning beds and sun exposure for two weeks. Shave the treatment area the night before.

Yes! However, try to space laser hair removal and aggressive treatments like chemical peels by 2 weeks.

Our medical-grade Soprano Titanium delivers more power than spa devices, permanently disabling follicles with integrated cooling protection.

The number of sessions required can depend on a few factors, such as your skin color, hair thickness and type, hormones, and the hair growth cycle of the treatment area. Most patients experience lasting results after 6 – 8 sessions or so. After each session, you are likely to find that your hair regrows more slowly and is finer than it was previously.

Once you finish your initial course of hair removal sessions, you may need to come back for periodic touch-ups due to regrowth and hormonal fluctuations.

The cost of laser hair reduction depends on a few factors, such as the area being treated (larger areas of the body take longer to treat, so they lead to higher fees) and other important considerations. We can provide a cost estimate when you visit our med spa for a consultation. If you wish to pay for your care in installments, you can apply for convenient financing through CareCredit.

Although laser hair reduction might seem pricey on the surface, keep in mind that it might actually help you save money in the long run. After all, it can greatly reduce the expenses associated with buying razors or hair removal creams, and it is certainly more affordable long-term than getting professionally waxed every few weeks!
